After reading this article let us examine what these changes mean for The Beauty Gurus. Well, in all honesty, very little! As a very reputable provider of cosmetic surgery, we already follow these guidelines. Some providers, such as national clinics will be affected, however. They do not always get consent done by the surgeon, they do not always give two weeks as a cool off…often slotting patients in at short notice to ensure a theatre list is full rather than follow the guidelines and it is certainly debatable as to the direction of certain marketing campaigns they have run.
We have long campaigned for better guidelines for providers across all areas of cosmetic surgery, whether it be for larger procedures such as Rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty or breast augmentation through to injectable treatments such as fillers or botox. They all can affect your health and well being if not taken seriously and performed by a well qualified, experienced professional. Our own Mr Vik Vijh is often asked to comment on these matters in the media and frequently appears on TV to correct treatments that have gone wrong. The latest episode of Extreme Beauty Disasters saw Mr Vijh do just that. Catch the programme on Thursdays on TLC at 8 pm.
If you are considering surgery or any form of treatment, come to a provider that shapes policy, not one that falls into line with it. We can be seen at clinics in Birmingham, London and Hereford. Contact us on 0121 794 2369 or visit us at The Beauty Gurus.
