Here at The Beauty Gurus we take great pride in our work, so it’s always exciting when we receive feedback. Take a look at our patient testimonials and you will see just why we do what we do.

Recently, we were subject to a routine inspection performed by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). Read on to learn more about them, and why their assessment of our practice has us smiling from ear to ear!

What Is The CQC?

The CQC is an organisation that regulates adult health and social care throughout England.

Their aim is to make sure that these services are:

  • Safe

  • Effective

  • Compassionate

  • High Quality

They also aim to motivate health and social care providers to continue to improve.

You can find more information about them on their website.

Why Is It Important?

Simply reading their four main goals shows why the CQC is important. When providing any form of health care, this criteria should always be met to ensure the wellbeing of the patient.

There are a number of fundamental standards that should be adhered to in any health care practices. Failing to uphold these standards puts the patient at risk of both physical and psychological harm. You can read more about these standards here

How Are Inspections Conducted?

When conducting their inspections, the CQC ask five basic questions:

  • Is the organisation safe?

  • Is the organisation effective?

  • Is the organisation caring?

  • Is the organisation responsive to people’s needs?

  • Is the organisation well led?

These five questions create the framework of their report, which they refer to as their key lines of enquiry. Each bullet point leads to numerous other questions, but they all help to ensure consistency and a focus on the areas that matter most.

In order to complete the report on our clinic, the CQC conducted a thorough investigation which included a site visit, evidence requests, staff interviews and a review of patient records.

What Were Their Findings?

From our introduction we imagine that you have worked out that the report from the CQC concluded with some very positive findings.

All five key questions were answered with a resounding yes!

We were delighted with these results alone, however the report went on to highlight some further positives.

We were praised for our policy of frequently reviewing how effective and appropriate our care is. It was also noted how our members of staff treat all patients kindly and with compassion, as well as with dignity and respect. Our appointment system was noticed for being easy to use, and we were commended for giving patients access to care wherever needed. Finally, we were immensely touched to find that our staff reported that they felt proud to work at The Beauty Gurus.

Our client testimonials mean the world to us, but receiving this praise from an impartial organisation feels extra special!

Choosing The Beauty Gurus for your cosmetic procedure means that you can confidently expect this level of service, each and every time.
