Here at The Beauty Gurus, we understand that the world is going through an extremely difficult time at the moment, but we really love seeing the kind acts that many people are doing to help our inspiring colleagues on the frontlines of the NHS. Despite the uncertainty we’re facing, so many wonderful people have stepped up to help raise funding and awareness of our keyworkers.
How we’re helping
As many of you know, our clinic is currently closed due to the pandemic. Our team of expert surgeons wanted to lend a hand and are all currently working for the NHS to offer relief wherever possible. In such a hectic time, we feel it is important for everyone to help where they can which is why our team felt so strongly about making the decision to return to the NHS as many private doctors and nurses are.
It warms our hearts to see so many people getting involved to show kindness and support to NHS workers in the midst of such a painful time for the UK and other countries around the world by speaking out and helping to raise money for the NHS fight against COVID-19.
Louie’s Story
One of the many incredible people taking part in fundraising for the NHS is 6-year-old, Louie French. After seeing Corporal Tom Moore’s dedication to the fight, Louie was inspired by his actions and decided to get involved. After being given a bike for Easter by his auntie, Louie’s parents taught him to ride his bike so he could begin his journey – 500 laps around his house. With the total distance working out as a staggering 50,000 metres, we wanted to get involved and support Louie’s triumph. We donated £100 to Louie’s JustGiving page to help him reach his goal – which he has now surpassed! With a £1,000 goal, Louie has now managed to raise an incredible £2,400 with over 100 people donating. We were honoured to get involved and help Louie on his journey to help the NHS staff that he calls his superheroes!
Effects of COVID-19
As we all know, COVID-19 has had an extreme effect on all of our lives. With the majority of the country on lockdown, our amazing colleagues working in the NHS are still working every day to keep us safe and take care of those fighting COVID-19, while risking their own lives to do so. It’s inspiring to see so many people showing their support for their loved ones and friends. One of the most important ways you can show your support for those risking their lives is to take the government’s guidelines seriously. Stay home and save lives, respect social distancing and wash your hands regularly.
At The Beauty Gurus, we would like all of our clients and readers to know that we hope you are all staying safe and staying home and we will update you with any changes as and when we know more about the current situation.
