We often comment on cases like the one in this article. In this case, our very own Mr Vijh is the surgeon who was tasked with the revision surgery following another case of botched surgery abroad. We would never insinuate that surgery abroad will go wrong, nor would we ever wish to downplay risks with any surgery. However, the facts are that the standards of plastic surgery in the UK, and in particular with highly skilled surgeons such as Mr Vijh, is as good as anywhere in the world.

It is not cheap. The best quality never is. However, when dealing with your own body, surely you should go for quality, not price? This poor lady has now had to undergo more surgery, a whole load of stress and expense just to get a result that she would have got in the first place had she come to us. A facelift is a difficult procedure. Some surgeons in the UK do not carry it out as they are not confident they will do it properly. We applaud them. Some surgeons, as we frequently see, should not be carrying out these procedures as they are not sufficiently skilled, yet they do. These are the patients we see frequently in our clinics in London, Birmingham, Hereford and the West Midlands. The patients that have had a poor result. They turn to Mr Vijh for help as he has an ever growing reputation of being one of the few surgeons that can fix a complex botched procedure.

“For a surgeon, it is often far harder to fix a case where something has gone wrong than to do it correctly in the first place,”  explains Mr Vijh. “We implore patients to find a competent, qualified surgeon in the first place. Ask them how many of your procedure they have done. What are their outcomes? Make an informed choice, not a financial one.”
